They said that “current knowledge of the effects of cannabis driving is not sufficient to allow specification of simple measures of driving impairment outside controlled conditions.”
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) are looking for applicants to serve as members of agricultural trade advisory panels focused on hemp and various other crops.
Dick Durbin, Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee (D-IL), tweeted that President Biden had pardoned thousands for low-level marijuana offenses before the New Year. This is a big step towards equal justice as the failed “War on Drugs’ policies continue to disproportionately affect marginalized communities. “We must correct these wrongs.”
Sen. John Hickenlooper, D-CO, tweeted: “In the decade since Colorado pioneered the legalization of marijuana, the industry funded public education and has created jobs, with: over $15 Billion in total cannabis sales, $2.6 Billion in state taxes and fees from sales, 35,000+ employees in our cannabis workforce.”

Colorado Gov. Jared Polis, a Democrat, tweeted: “Since Colorado’s voters legalized marijuana ten years ago, Colorado developed one of world’s leading regulatory systems and inspired countless other similar systems across the nation and the globe.”
Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, the Republican governor of Ohio, spoke out about his desire to quickly launch legal marijuana sales.
Connecticut’s Attorney General sent a cease-and-desist letter regarding unlicensed cannabis events.
Senator South Carolina spoke out about his bill that would remove the smell of pot as a probable reason to stop, search, or arrest someone.
A judge in Alabama granted a temporary restraint order that prevented regulators from issuing licenses for medical cannabis integrated facilities.
California regulators have shut down most cannabis testing in the state due to new, stricter regulations.
A spokesperson for the Arkansas Department of Regulation discussed how medical cannabis revenues are used to pay school lunches.
