According to a review, “in vitro experiments assessing the effects on oral cancer cells revealed promising anti-cancer properties, including apoptosis, inhibition of cell proliferation, and anxiety reduction.” Cannabis may also improve well-being, by relieving depression, anxiety, pain and nausea.
The study concluded that “there is no significant association between non-medical use of opioids and cannabis use in patients receiving pharmacotherapies to treat [opiate use disorder].”
