The Department of Justice has filed a motion for dismissal of a lawsuit brought by the marijuana industry challenging federal prohibition. They claim that courts shouldn’t get ahead of an administration review of cannabis scheduling.

The Warren County District Attorney in Pennsylvania, who uses medical cannabis as per state law, filed a lawsuit to challenge the federal policy which criminalizes gun ownership by medical marijuana patients.

The New York Cannabis Control Board had planned to vote on Wednesday, more than a year since recreational retail sales began, on rules that would allow adults to grow marijuana at home. However, the meeting was cancelled on Tuesday night.

Arizona House Military Affairs & Public Safety Committee has approved a bill that will protect $5 million of funding for psilocybin-related research from being redistributed due to a state deficit.

The National Association of State Departments of Agriculture, which represents agriculture officials from 50 states and four U.S. Territories, is pushing Congress to triple the legal THC for hemp. It will go from 0.3 to 1 percent.

Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission reports that retailers have sold legal marijuana products worth nearly $1.8 billion in 2023. This was topped off by a monthly record of $158.7 millions in December.

Vermont regulators have posted a tracking system for employee ID cards issued by cannabis businesses.

Alaska’s Advisory Task Force on Recreational Cannabis will meet on Thursday.
