Senate Majority leader Chuck Schumer (DNY) spoke to a cannabis rally and pledged to bring a marijuana banking law up for floor vote, along with provisions such as expungements and social justice.

The Vermont House Judiciary Committee heard a bill that would legalize psilocybin, and create a Psychedelic Treatment Advisory Working group to study regulated accessibility. According to the chairman, lawmakers could vote on it as early as next year.
The Veterans and Legal Affairs Committee of the Maine legislature rejected a bill which would have allowed marijuana to be sold interstate, but the chair suggested that the issue was “not off the radar” and might advance in the future.

Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, (R), held a ceremony to sign a bill that would ban delta-8 THC.

Colorado lawmakers reached a compromise on legislation concerning cannabinoid products. Separately the House Judiciary Committee has rejected a bill which would have increased penalties against people who sell drugs linked to overdose death.
The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians principal chief, who is located in North Carolina has vetoed a $64 million funding for a medical marijuana dispensary.
Maryland’s top marijuana regulatory spoke about efforts to introduce a new law that regulates adult-use sales.
New York regulators are planning to provide additional support to marijuana business license applicants. This could include a pathway to licensure to people who successfully complete a compliance mentoring program.
