Colorado Gov. Jared Polis, a Democrat, signed a law to legalize the sale of marijuana online.

California Assembly approved a bill that legalized cannabis cafes, allowing retailers to sell food and beverages as well as allow on-site consumption.

The Nevada Assembly Health and Human Services Committee has approved a Senate passed bill that creates a Psychedelic Medicines Working Group tasked with creating an “actionable plan” on how to “enable access” which is “safe, affordable and accessible.”

Hunter Biden’s lawyers have reportedly told Justice Department officials they will challenge the constitutionality of the ban on gun possession by people who use drugs if he is prosecuted–specifically citing a recent judge’s ruling concerning marijuana consumers that his father’s administration is appealing.

New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission voted exclusively to accept social equity applicants’ requests for certain categories of marijuana business licenses for a one-year period.

The Rhode Island Department of Health has launched a new system for online registration of medical cannabis.

Federal

Karine Jean-Pierre, White House Press Secretary, dodged the question of whether or not people who use drugs illegally should be allowed to own guns.

The U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit upheld U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services determined that an El Salvadoran woman did not have “good character”, and should therefore be denied naturalization because she operated a state licensed marijuana business.

Sen. John Hickenlooper, (D-CO), tweeted: “Welcome, Minnesota!” Washington needs to pass the SAFE Banking Act to give legal cannabis shops the same banking privileges as other businesses. As more states legalize cannabis for adult use, Washington should do so. Let’s get it done!”

Sen. Ron Johnson (R – WI) stated that marijuana legalization “has not been a beautiful picture.”

Reps. Matt Rosendale, R-MT and Chrissy Hulahan, D-PA sent a joint press release regarding their bill that would loosen hemp-growing restrictions.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a law to regulate kratom.

Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly (D), who has ruled out any action to promote marijuana reform, said she would “keep pushing forward the legislative process.”

The New Hampshire Senate has approved a bill that will legalize the use of fentanyl testing strips and xylazine test strips.

Senator John McCormack of North Carolina discussed the legislation he co-sponsored to legalize medical marijuana.

California regulators have proposed changes to the marijuana tracking and tracing rules.

Oregon regulators propose rulemaking for CBN manufacture.

Utah regulators have filed changes to the rules governing medical cannabis and hemp.

Colorado regulators released additional information regarding reports of adverse health effects allegedly associated with the consumption of products containing marijuana from Sima Sciences, LLC.

A Michigan judge lifted the ban on media attendance at court hearings relating to a lawsuit between a marijuana-testing lab and regulators.

Arkansas regulators have renewed the permit of a medical cannabis business. Separately, the company that is suing the state over the awarding of the license argues that the attorney general shouldn’t be allowed to represent the regulators.

Ohio regulators have updated the numbers of medical cannabis patients and caregivers.
