In a court filing, the Department of Justice stated that they believe the U.S. Court of Appeals Fifth Circuit “incorrectly” decided that the prohibition on gun ownership for marijuana users is unconstitutional.

In a recently discovered email, Terrence Boos, Chief of the Drug Enforcement Administration Drug & Chemical Evaluation Section, made it clear that the agency considers synthetically derived Delta-8 THC products as illegal controlled substances.

South Dakota Attorney-General Marty Jackley filed a draft summary and title for a proposed ballot initiative to legalize marijuana. However, activists have taken issue with the language and will be pushing for changes.

Oregon Gov. Tina Kotek, a Democrat, vetoed the bill that would have created a taskforce to study creating a bank that could service, among other things in the state’s cannabis industry.
