The Federal Bureau of Investigation has released a report that shows marijuana will account for almost a third of drug arrests made in the U.S. by 2022. Prince George’s County Council, Maryland has advanced legislation that restricts where marijuana dispensaries may operate.

The results of a study showed that participants “displayed reduced anxiety three months after [medical marijuana] treatment initiation,” and “they reported reductions in medication usage, especially for benzodiazepines.” They concluded that the findings “support the use medical marijuana as a therapy for anxiety and PTSD.”

The President of the New Jersey State Policemen’s Benevolent Association referred to Jersey City’s suit over the right to fire officers for marijuana use as a “waste” of taxpayer dollars.

In his testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee, former Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker, President of the National Collegiate Athletic Association, spoke about the work done by the organization to “advance sensible changes to policies on sports betting and marijuana tests”.

Verano Holdings Corp. started trading on Cboe Canada.

The cannabis-focused debit card processor Omni Technologies reported that its participating retailers have “experienced an elevated rate of declines in transactions” over the past few weeks because of “a targeted blockage of debit network transactions submitted by FP Omni merchants.”

Washington, D.C., businesses sold medical cannabis products worth $4.4 million in September.
