The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration has made changes to the federal workplace drug-testing guidelines in order to clarify that medical marijuana used under a doctor’s recommendation and in a state where it is legal, does not qualify as an excuse for a THC positive test.

Dan Osborn, independent candidate for Nebraska Senate in Nebraska, spoke of his support for the legalization of marijuana. He admitted to having used cannabis after initially claiming that he had never done so.

Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly (D), tweeted: “More Kansans recognize that expanding Medicaid and legalizing medicinal marijuana are commonsense methods to support our neighbors battling pain, PTSD and other medical conditions. Let’s get them both done in the next legislative session.

Missouri regulators, along with officials from St. Louis County, are being sued for alleged unconstitutionality of the stacking municipal and county marijuana taxes.

Alaska regulators have proposed new rules regarding marijuana businesses operating in the same premises.

Hawaii regulators have approved an additional license for medical cannabis dispensaries.
