Maryland legislators sent Governor. Wes Moore (D), legislation to regulate marijuana sales, in preparation for the state’s voter-approved legalization act that will take effect July 1.
New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham (D), signed a bill that allows people to check if their marijuana convictions were expunged. They can also request expedited processing if they are still pending.
Arkansas lawmakers sent Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders (R), a bill that clarifies that patients who use medical cannabis can get concealed carry licenses to purchase firearms.
The Minnesota House Health Finance and Policy Committee added provisions to create a task force on psychedelics that would help prepare the state for legalization in a large-scale bill on health policy.
On Tuesday, the Texas House of Representatives will vote to approve a bill that allows doctors to recommend medical marijuana as an alternative to chronic pain. It also replaces the current THC limit.
The Chicago Cubs are the first Major League Baseball team that has officially partnered with a CBD company. MYND DRINKS has announced a partnership with the company. The deal includes a guided meditation narrated Pat Hughes by Cubs announcer and a Spotify playlist called “Sounds of Wrigley Field”.
In March, Missouri’s legal marijuana product sales reached $126.2 million. This was the second month of adult-use sales. The state’s marijuana market is expected to surpass $1 billion by the end the year.

An ex-White House Office of National Drug Control Policy chief Medical Officer spoke at a press conference against a California psychedelics law.
Rep. Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), tweeted: “I’m for completely removing the federal government from marijuana regulation, but not for taxing and criminalizing those who do not pay taxes on it, or setting up equity/justice programmes.”
One new sponsor was added to the House bill that would allow CBD as a dietary supplements.

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear (D), cited this session’s passage of medical marijuana legislation as an example “of the best of bipartisanship.”
