Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., criticized Republican Ron DeSantis’ opposition to decriminalizing cannabis. He said that he would change the current “absurd federal cannabis policies” if elected. However he refused Bill Maher’s offer to smoke during an interview.

Maryland’s legalization takes effect Saturday. The majority of existing medical cannabis dispensaries in the state are set to begin recreational sales, and Gov. Wes Moore, a Democrat, has pledged to focus on equity and growth in the economy.
