Maine Gov. Janet Mills, a Democrat, signed a bill that allows marijuana businesses to deduct state taxes as a partial solution to the Internal Revenue Service code 280E which prohibits deductions of this kind at the federal level.

The New Jersey Civil Service Commission has ordered the Jersey City Police Department, to reinstate with back pay an officer who had been fired in error for marijuana.

Rep. Brian Mast, (R-FL), tweeted: “Veterans shouldn’t be denied the right to use medical marijuana in states with legal programs.” The House has overwhelmingly approved the amendment we proposed to update this rule.

The House marijuana banking legislation has gained one more co-sponsor, bringing the total to 67.

A new sponsor has been added to the House Resolution on Reparations, which notes that Blacks are criminalized and targeted by the War on Drugs.

A California Senator tweeted about his bill that would legalize the possession of psychedelics.

West Virginia’s judge has indicated that he will not entertain any revocation requests for defendants who use medical cannabis.

New York regulators have been sued for hemp beverage restrictions.

Missouri regulators have suspended the operations of three marijuana plants due to “potential safety concerns”.

Colorado regulators have sent out a bulletin regarding shoplifting that targets marijuana businesses.

Mississippi Alcohol Beverage Control has arrested a medical marijuana business owner on suspicion of possessing unregulated cannabis products.

On Monday, the Illinois Medical Cannabis Advisory Board meets.
