Delaware Gov. John Carney’s (D) desk has been officially notified that he must act by April 22 or 26 on two complementary bills regulating and legalizing marijuana. Last year, he vetoed the legalization of cannabis. This year’s proposals have more than enough support for him to be overridden.

House Minority leader Hakeem Jeffries, (D-NY), and Cannabis Caucus co-chair Rep.Dave Joyce, (R-OH), filed a bill directing the Attorney General to form a federal marijuana legalization commission by recommending regulations modeled on those for alcohol.
Washington State lawmakers sent Gov. Jay Inslee’s (D) bill to allow marijuana commerce between states was sent by Washington State lawmakers. California and Oregon, two other West Coast States, already have laws that allow for the cross-border trade of cannabis.
The Nevada Senate Health and Human Services Committee has approved a revised version of a bill that creates a Psychedelic Medicines Working Group. This group will develop a “plan on how to facilitate access” which is “safe, affordable and accessible.”

Three new co-sponsors have been added to the 17 who already support the House bill allowing CBD as a nutritional supplement.
A total of six co-sponsors have now signed on to the House bill allowing CBD as an ingredient in food.

Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders signed a bill restricting delta-8 THC-containing products.
Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin signed the hemp product restrictions bill after lawmakers passed his amendments.
According to reports, New Jersey’s Senate President said that home cultivation of marijuana is “soon”, for “certain conditions”.
Connecticut’s House Majority Leader is pushing for state-level tax relief of 280E for marijuana businesses to be included in the budget.
The Nevada Assembly Legislative Operations and Elections Committee has approved a Resolution calling on Congress for a rescheduling of marijuana. Separately the Senate Commerce and Labor Committee has voted to postpone indefinitely a bill requested from Gov. Joe Lombardo’s (R) focus was on crackingdown on illegal marijuana sales.
The New York Assembly Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Committee chairman filed a bill that would ban cannabis-infused candies.
On Wednesday, the Wisconsin Supreme Court will consider a case involving police searches and the smell of cannabis.
Massachusetts regulators seek public comments on possible marijuana host community agreements and changes to municipal equity rules, as well as social consumption rules.
