Washington State Gov. In a statement about his decision not to run for re-election, Jay Inslee (D), a Democrat, praised a program of marijuana pardons he had created.

The Pennsylvania Senate has passed a bill that bans safe consumption sites of illegal drugs.

Minnesota Representative said he was “very optimistic” that he could reconcile differences between his marijuana-legalization bill and its Senate companion, so that the legislation could be sent to Governor.

California’s top cannabis regulator said, “It is very difficult to look inside and identify where potential business failures are.” This was in response to cannabis businesses who blamed state officials for their struggles against the illegal market. This is largely driven by market competition and business decisions.

New York regulators have been sued over allegedly putting a neighborhood in danger by approving the lease of a marijuana dispensary without consulting with local residents.

Utah regulators have updated their rules on medical cannabis cultivation, hemp products and processing.

Ohio regulators have updated the numbers of medical cannabis patients and caregivers.

Baltimore’s Economic and Community Development Committee of the City Council advanced a proposal for a reparations fund to be created to provide funding to those communities that are subjected high levels of enforcement.

The Spokane City Council Public Safety and Community Health Committee has been considering a proposal that would prohibit drug use and possession in public.

The Luxembourg government has released a report on a pilot program for marijuana legalization. However, formal legislation won’t be introduced until the next session after a review by the European Union Commission.
