A cannabis shop in Albuquerque is open again after a break-in and robbery a few weeks back. They’re now celebrating their reopening by helping students return to school.
“Our roots are right here.” “Our foundation is here and we want be a positive contribution,” said Jaquelene enciso.
Trident Cannabis has reopened after weeks of a damaging break-in that left thousands of dollars worth damages on their front door, their merchandise and their ATM. To celebrate, Trident Cannabis is bringing together the community.
Alfonso Enciso is Jaquelene’s husband and the co-owner at Trident.
They hosted an outreach for business during a re-opening.
The gathering included local food vendors as well as other professionals in the cannabis industry to expand to new clients. The main goal of the event was to get kids ready for school.
Trident Cannabis partnered up with Classic 66 Cuts for a free haircut and a school supply bag to be given to children.
“My mother actually created it.” It was 10 years ago, if I remember correctly. John Padilla and his mother Anna Chavez, who operate Classic 66 Cuts, said, “Yeah, that was back in the old days.”
“When we started here, there were some issues. We would have also broken in and done other things like that, but what do you know? We’re still around. “We’re still here and we’re trying to give back to our community,” said Anna Chavez
Trident Cannabis stated that despite a setback of a few days ago, it is a new start as they continue to grow and give back in the community.
Enciso said, “Our goal was to become involved in our community from the beginning so that we could give back to the community and be the forefront of positive change for our industry.”
The police are still investigating a break-in that occurred a few months ago at Trident, as well as other businesses around the area.
