ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The cannabis industry in New Mexico has passed more than $1 billion worth of medical and recreational sales. The industry has returned more than $75 million in excise taxes back to the state.

“This is a huge milestone for New Mexico’s cannabis industry,” New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham said in a press release. “Nearly two years after beginning sales, New Mexico is on the map as a premier hub for legal and safe cannabis and the thriving business community that comes with it.”
