Francis Suarez, Republican presidential candidate and former mayor of Miami, wants the federal government “catch up” to states that have legalized cannabis. However, he has had a mixed track record in his previous role as Miami’s Mayor on cannabis-related issues.

The Department of Veterans Affairs and Department of Defense released a “strongly against” recommendation regarding the use of medical cannabis for treating PTSD. However, they did not recommend using psychedelics such as psilocybin or LSD.
