“A Masterclass in How Not to Greet a Customer” 9:30 p.m. on a Tuesday — long day, low patience, and I drive by Tafoya Farms Dispensary. It looked like they might be open… though you wouldn’t know it from the outside. No LED “OPEN” sign, no welcoming glow — just a building sitting there in the dark, quietly daring me to guess if they were still operating. Against my better judgment, I decided to find out. Inside, I was greeted not by a friendly face, but by music blaring loud enough to double as a fire alarm. The doorbell dinged (I think?), but between the bass and my growing confusion, who could tell? I stood there, patiently. I could hear voices in the next room — staff? customers? an interdimensional portal? — impossible to say. I knocked. Nothing. I opened the door again to ring the bell once more. Still nothing. Finally, as I reached for the dispensary door, I was hit with a loud, condescending, “You need to be patient!” Well, that’s one way to welcome a first-time guest and 10+ year medical patient. Not the way I’d recommend, but points for originality. A few minutes later, another customer wandered in, looking just as lost. We waited together, united in confusion. Eventually, someone emerged from the back. Inside, two team members were working with one guest. Neither so much as glanced our way. No “We’ll be right with you,” no nod, no acknowledgment — just the same loud music and silence where basic hospitality should’ve been. Here’s the thing: Customer service isn’t rocket science. You don’t need a script, just some common courtesy. A simple “Hey there!” goes a long way, especially in an industry that’s supposed to be all about good vibes. And that’s the shame of it — Tafoya Farms sits in a prime spot next to Chiba Hut, with plenty of potential foot traffic. But great locations can’t make up for terrible first impressions. If you’re open late, turn on a sign. If a customer walks in, acknowledge them. And if you’re going to blast music, maybe not at concert volume? This visit left a bad taste — and it wasn’t the product. I’ll give another Tafoya location a shot, hoping this was just a fluke. But as it stands, this store has perfected the art of making customers feel invisible. A little training, a little awareness, and a working “OPEN” sign could fix a lot. Until then, Tafoya Farms Dispensary: great weed, terrible welcome. Maybe start selling patience — you’ll need it. Disgruntled Patient. Until n3xt time. Ps Elevated 2g carts....fire! UPDATE: went in this morning with a friend. Much better experience. Music at reasonable volume, greated with a smile and still good prices. I'll update and rank accordingly after a few more visits

I went in today and left with 2 oz's of top shelf indoor flower for 190$ bucks out the door. I purchased "seed junky" and some flower called "happy goat"and it is some of the best stuff I've seen. Kaya the budtender was crazy good at her job and showed me what was fire indoor flower. First ounce she recommended was the winner right away. Definitely gonna be my new spot. Great service and crazy good quality flower by happy goat.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
