New Mexico's cannabis market grew quickly through its first year and then leveled off. Since mid-2023 statewide sales have been roughly flat, landing between roughly $44 million and $52 million a month. What has changed is the mix: medical cannabis made up about 44 percent of sales in April 2022 and is down to about 21 percent by July 2026, as more patients buy on the adult-use side.
