Community Rules
Eight hard rules. Breaking one gets your content removed; some get you banned on the spot.
- 1
21+ only
You must be 21 or older to use DopeNewMexico. Any indication that a member is a minor results in an immediate, permanent ban, and the content is removed.
- 2
No sales, trades, gifts or sourcing between members
Never offer, request, arrange or hint at a peer-to-peer cannabis transaction — including gifts and trades. Buy from licensed New Mexico retailers only.
- 3
No shipping cannabis
Do not ship cannabis and do not discuss shipping cannabis. Mailing cannabis is a federal felony regardless of state law.
- 4
Licensed dispensaries only
Unlicensed sellers may not be named, linked, reviewed or promoted anywhere on the site.
- 5
No medical or legal advice
Share personal experience only. Nothing here substitutes for a licensed medical provider or an attorney.
- 6
Disclose your affiliation
Dispensary employees, owners and marketers must disclose their affiliation in any thread about their business. Undisclosed astroturfing is a permanent ban.
- 7
No checkpoint evasion advice
The checkpoint map is for traffic awareness. Advising evasion, concealment or transport through a checkpoint is removed.
- 8
Reviews must be from an actual visit
Only review shops you have actually been to. Fabricated, incentivised or competitor-sabotage reviews are removed and can cost you your account.
How enforcement works
Every post, comment and review carries a report button. Reports land in a moderator queue where a human reads the content in context and either approves it, removes it, or bans the account — always with a written reason. Removed content leaves a visible tombstone instead of vanishing, so threads still make sense.
Some content never publishes at all: an automatic screen checks submissions for peer-to-peer sales, shipping, unlicensed sourcing, checkpoint evasion and signs of an underage user, and asks you to edit before posting. Repeated attempts route your submission to the moderation queue. New accounts are rate limited and cannot post links in their first 24 hours.
